Resort Information
La Tzoumaz, like Verbier is situated at 1500m and offers skiers of all levels amazing variety and a great opportunity to enjoy the world renowned 4 Valleys Ski Area.
Nestling in the heart of the 4 Valleys region against the same mountain as Verbier, Mont Savolyres, La Tzoumaz benefits from its north facing location and enjoys one of the longest ski-seasons in the area, lasting from December all the way through to late April.
The completion of the 8-person gondola in 2008 has transformed the resort and with direct links into Verbier, the resort continues to attract more and more visitors each year.
Quieter than Verbier and popular with families, the resort is becoming increasingly popular with British, Dutch and German visitors as well as Swiss Nationals. The resort offers direct access into the 4 Valleys ski network from the 8-person gondola situated in the centre of the village. Within 10 minutes you’re at the top of the Savolyres lift (2354m) and skiers of all levels can enjoy the 400 kilometres of skiing available to you linked by over 100 lifts!
For the adventurous off-piste skiers, the region offers some amazing skiing, particularly Mont Fort, Torin, Creblet and Valon D’Arby which are all popular excursions.
A natural outdoor ice rink, the heated indoor swimming pool and the 10 kilometre floodlit sledge run, the longest in Western Europe offer visitors some variety when not taking to the slopes. Sledges can be rented at the main lift station (or arranged by our chalet hosts).
Your chalet hosts will be pleased to assist you with booking ski lessons (all levels), arranging ski and boot hire or purchasing lift passes for any combination of the 4 Valleys network. This can all be arranged in advance of your visit.
We hope you enjoy your stay in La Tzoumaz!
